Tree Felling

Tree Felling is the removal of a tree to ground level by a traditional forestry fell as a whole tree or by section fell, where the tree is cut and lowered piece by piece. Usually taking place where lack of space or nearby buildings demand it.

Stump Removal/Grinding

We have a range of machines including narrow access machines capable of grinding any size stumps.

Pruning

A horticultural and silvicultural practice involving the removal of certain parts of a plant, such as branches, buds and roots.

Crown Reductions & Re-shaping

Involves reducing the height of the tree by cutting back to suitable growing points while leaving the tree with good structure and evenly balanced crown.

Crown Lifting

Involves the removal of lower hanging branches to a given height.

Crown Thinning

Crown thinning involves the removal of secondary live branches to leave a well spaced, balanced branch structure. Can be done to allow more light to pass through the canopy.

Deadwood Removal

Dead wood falling from a tree can be a danger to passing pedestrians or vehicles so for trees in public locations will need to be removed.

Pollarding / Coppicing

A traditional practice originally done for the growth and harvest of wood, still carried out to retain a certain size and shape of tree.

Hedge Maintenance

Hedges need regular cutting to retain a certain size or shape.

Land/Site Clearance

Usually done to clear a site of vegetation before development or planned works can begin.
